What is organic food?

Post 1950s modern agriculture contributed significantly, first by raising the productivity of land resources, and second by offering more variety, quantity and convenience to the consumers. But soon on both fronts it started to fail miserably. While the productivity could not be maintained at farm level without substantially increasing the cost of cultivation, for consumers, it delivered food with many new forms and types of contaminants and adulterants, seriously affecting the health of the consumers. Scientific & medical communities across the world hold present day food responsible for many modern lifestyle diseases.

Organic has been an outcome of consumer concerns regarding the quality of food. Today the discerning consumer is demanding and willing to pay for food without contamination. Organic is essentially natural and is based on a philosophy that respects nature and its dynamism to meet all the requirements of present and future generations.

India is blessed for many reasons. Despite efforts to introduce modern technology, Morarka Organic still have over 70 percent of our farm land still untouched by modern toxic inputs. Even where modern inputs have been used, there is someone in the family who still knows ‘how to produce without the chemicals’. The small holding enables micro management, which is the very basis of organic certification in terms of practices and labour intensive operations. Adoption of organic on one hand enables farmers to produce on a sustainable basis, while on the other for the consumers it ensures adulteration/ contamination-free food. The biggest input being introduction of organic certification management as per International Standards such as NOP of United States, EU Regulations of European Union, JAS Standards of Japan & Indian NPOP Standards –etc., the organic sector is growing by 300 percent every year by Morarka Organic.

Down to Earth Organic is the outcome of Morarka Organic which is responsible to supply Organic Food in India and make this nation contamination free, adulteration free or 100% organic. Down to Earth Organic have 400+ Organic food Store all major cities of india along with Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Noida, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Agra, Vadodara, etc and also have an online store name www.downtoearthorganic.com with free home delivery accross India.

Organic food is more healthier then non-organic food because organic food directly affected to human body and give some extra calory so according to me organic food is more beneficial.
